Jean-Michel Cousteau to host on Aria Amazon
Esteemed explorer and conservationist Jean-Michel Cousteau will host more cruises on Aria Amazon for Aqua Expeditions this October
Renowned oceanographic explorer and conservationist Jean-Michel Cousteau will host more cruises on Aria Amazon for leading luxury river cruise operator Aqua Expeditions this October.
Following sold-out cruises on Aria Amazon with the legendary conservationist in 2017 and early 2018, travellers will have another opportunity to experience these exciting hosted cruises later this year.
“After journeys like this, I am inspired with the greatest sense of hope that we will continue to all work together and keep in motion the many solutions already in place for keeping this magnificent, vital river system alive and thriving,” Jean-Michel Cousteau says.
“I am looking forward to my next adventure on board the Aria Amazon with guests from the around the world as we explore together a place that connects us all to nature and to our water planet.”
During these exclusive cruises, guests will experience the charming Amazon from the perspective of the famed conservationist, in an intimate group of fellow travellers.
Twice-daily excursions mean that guests can meet an Indigenous community, venture deep into the jungle to spot rare wildlife species, and shop at fresh local markets.
Guests will also have the chance to see incredible conservation efforts in action at the Manatee Rescue Centre in Iquitos, which rescues and rehabilitates orphaned Amazon manatees and is supported by Aqua Expeditions.
The voyage will be full of excitement with Cousteau giving engaging evening talks, as well as screenings of his award-winning films.
