New e-Visa for Brazil
Australians can now apply for their visa to Brazil online and receive a swift response within 72 hours
The Minister for Tourism of Brazil, Marx Beltrão, has announced a new electronic visa for Australian citizens as part of his ‘Brazil: More Tourism’ initiative.
Before the introduction of the e-Visa, getting the documentation to go to Brazil was a time-consuming process for Australians, but now they will be able to apply online and receive a swift response within 72 hours.
The online visa is one of the many steps the Brazilian government is taking to strengthen the already strong bond between Australia and Brazil, the two largest economies of the Southern Hemisphere.
The two vibrant democracies and multicultural societies have shared a robust bilateral relationship for more than 70 years, as well as an important strategic partnership.
“It’s such a healthy relationship – one based on shared values, principles, and mutual respect,” Consul-General of Brazil in Sydney, Carlos de Abreu says.
“Minister Marx Beltrão is the pioneer of the Brazilian electronic visa program and the main promoter of the Brazilian tourism industry – one of the pillars of the present renewal economic growth cycle in Brazil, a country that has become the sixth largest recipient of foreign direct investment in the world.”
