Grand old dame
Befitting its Heritage status, the grand hotel effortlessly merges the new with the old. Located on the corner of George and Elizabeth Streets, the original building was completed in 1922 as home to the Queensland Government Savings Bank.

In the swim of things
The new hotel includes an extra five levels designed to complement the historic building, many of them with balconies. The hotel’s location makes it convenient to explore many more of Brisbane’s highlights such as Queen Street Mall, South Bank, China Town, the Queensland Museum, Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art along with the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Southbank, all of which are within a 15-minute walk.

Style and substance
Each spacious apartment is fitted with a kitchen and laundry and guests can take advantage of the full hotel services including 24-hour reception, gym and pool. The original banking hall is now the lobby, and its grand scale retains original features such as double-height original timber-panelled walls and ornate ceiling roses. It is a beautiful, elegant space and apart from reception and some stylish seating areas, it also houses the Frisky Goat Coffee shop for fabulous coffee and snacks.

A-listers unite
The hotel’s restaurant, Donna Chang is located off the lobby and the Boom Boom Room bar is downstairs, with both set to become the ‘in’ places for Brisbane’s A-list. Donna Chang, created by the same team that gave Brisbane-ites the Blackbird Bar & Grill on Eagle Street Pier, will feature Sichuan-flavoured dishes and authentic Cantonese cuisine.
