Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc opens its doors in Vietnam
Radisson Blu’s latest addition Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc has just swung open its doors in Vietnam. An easy 30km from Phu Quoc International Airport and easily accessible to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, it is the perfect place to end a trip full of busy sightseeing.
The property is located on Bai Dai beach along Vietnam’s stunning North West Coast and boasts sweeping views of the aquamarine waters of the Gulf of Thailand. Known for its natural splendour, the area is nearby to an abundance of experiences from the exotic architecture of Dinh Lou Temple and Ho Quoc Pagoda to the placid waters of starfish beach.
Radisson Blu Phu Quoc’s general manager Peter Feran summed it up by saying, “Phu Quoc is fast developing a reputation as Vietnam’s answer to Thailand’s Phuket and the beach experience here is one of a kind. This is a tropical island setting that comes right out of a storybook and is all the more spectacular every day at dusk when the sun goes down over the Gulf of Thailand.”
The hotel itself promises stunning seaside views from the main complex in addition to 10 beachfront pool villas boasting private pools and sun decks. Spend a luxurious evening at Avenue alongside a glass-walled cellar and extensive selection of new and old world wine or grab a cocktail from Annex that pairs customised drinks with cigars. The tropical lagoon swimming pool is the perfect place to spend a lazy day with classic cocktails, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies.
As a bonus, the hotel also conforms to current green standards with eco-friendly electric vehicles in operation resort-wide and a purpose-built bamboo farm in the works for bamboo straws.
Access to a neighbouring establishment gives guests the opportunity to take advantage of a 26 treatment-room spa, gym, water park, shopping centre, casino and restaurants. Three is also an amusement park, 18-hole golf course and safari conservation park nearby. For a dose of culture, take a visit to the floating fishing villages of Rach Vem and Ham Ninh.
Radisson Blu will continue to offer luxury contemporary accommodation with Radisson Blu Cam Ranh Bay and another smaller resort in Phu Quoc next in line to launch. radissonblu.com
