Six Senses to open in Cambodia in 2017

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas will be adding Cambodia to their impressive portfolio of sustainable, luxury resorts around the world, with the opening of Six Senses Krabey Island in 2017.

Situated on the small tropical island of Krabey, off the coast of Ream National Park in Sihanoukville, the resort is comprised of 40 pool villas set around the naturally landscaped 30-acre island.

Committed to using sustainable material while embracing modern technology for guest convenience and comfort, living rooms will feature a day bed that can be adapted to an additional bed, minibar, and working desk, while Retreat and Reserve villas will even have mini wine cellars. Each unit will have its very own private plunge pool and deck for relaxing and outdoor dining, and some will feature outdoor showers.

The master bedroom will include a bed complete with netting canopy, and guests will be able to achieve the best night’s sleep possible with the Sleep with Six Senses experience, which includes Naturalmat mattresses and dedicated sleep ambassadors to offer guidance on healthy sleeping.

An all-day restaurant will serve a fresh breakfast buffet as well as a la carte options, casual lunches, and seasonally themed dinners, while a poolside deli and ice cream parlour, and elevated bar are also planned.

To get to the resort, guests arrive at the mainland reception before the short water transfer to the island.

Sihanoukville Airport is less than a 10-minute drive from the mainland jetty, Phnom Penh International Airport is a three-and-a-half-hour drive and Siem Reap International Airport is a scenic eight-and-a-half hours. Sihanoukville Airport has domestic as well as international flights from Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and can also arrange international private jets and helicopters.
